Agency constitutes an ongoing archive of specimens that witness “quasi” things. Quasi things are things which shifted between the classification of nature and culture. These things moved between evolution and creation or the other way around. During the herbst-Akademie agency will present a selection of things from the archive that were exhibited during jurisprudences or court cases and relate to the discussion around indigenous knowledges within the global regime of intellectual property. As with other agencies, “agency” is a fictitious legal persona. This generic agency was founded in 1992 by Kobe Matthys. Agency its office is located in PB1312 B-1000 Brussels.
